释净庆，字号传喜
1967年出生于中国上海，自幼就对佛塔有莫名的神往。在农村和城市两地长大。悲悯人们在社会遽变中迷失于物质世界，背离生命本源，深陷于现代综合症的痛苦。进而研习儒释道各家学说，更引发了对生命终极意义的深邃思索。
1990年在上海龙华寺上明下旸大和尚座下三皈五戒，开始茹素念佛，除自修之外组建念佛团领众精进共修。
1992年在上海金刚道场于上清下定上师前得四皈依及五部开许灌顶。独自步行入山，寻访静修洞窟，在浙江新昌大佛寺值遇悟公上人，国清寺遇静慧老法师、慧良长老，石梁方广寺遇传印长老，塔头寺遇月观长老。
1993年朝拜普陀山，农历6月19日于普济寺皈依上悟下道大和尚，赐法名“净庆”。又得悟公上人指引参拜宁波阿育王寺佛舍利，拜见七塔寺桂纶老禅师；在天童寺值遇95岁松山首座圆寂，亲眼目睹了坐脱立亡的高超修证功夫。
1994年于定中见自己在废墟中收拾佛舍利，遂发心出家；在浙江省新昌大佛寺依悟公上人披剃,即随侍恩师朝拜五台山,于大塔院寺佛舍利塔上夜睹智慧灯，在佛光寺大殿感受文殊、普贤大士以种子字融入身心等奇妙经历。恩师悟公上人在大白塔下赐字号“传喜”。
1995年在上海龙华寺上明下旸大和尚座下受具足戒。
1996年在悟公上人座下闭关念佛三年，得到恩师甚深的加持。经教义理渐融于身心，从而真正理解了恩师和祖师大德敷设空花佛事、水月坛场，震锡杖而破地狱，拔群迷而生净土，历劫难而从容，化火焰成红莲；看到了唯有回归佛性才是一帖万病总治的灵丹妙药。深深感悟到以佛法济世是生命的最大意义。
1999年三年闭关圆满,受师命兼管岱山极乐寺法务。
2001年受恩师指派住持杭州萧山杨歧寺；并担任中国佛教文化展示中心、世界宗教学术研究基地主任。
2002年开讲《楞严经》。
2003年应宁波各界邀请住持慧日禅寺至今。
2004年由
海涛法师劝转法轮，同往东南亚各国传播佛法，在生命电视台宣流法音，由此启历年前往东南亚弘法之始。先后多次率众赴印度、尼泊尔、不丹朝访。
2005年悟公上人圆寂，为怀念恩师主持制作专题片《高山仰止》。在电视上宣讲《普贤上师言教》。并受邀担任生命电视台荣誉董事。
2006年应邀出席在马来西亚举行的世界僧伽大会；同年出席在中国杭州举办的首届世界佛教论坛。
2007年应邀出席全球观音大法会，担任主法人，并为大会制作了专题片《慈航》。
2008年与益西彭措堪布联合主持制作三维动画教学片《如意宝珠》；是年作为中国法师代表参加世界地球日泰国法身寺50万人供僧大法会。为超度汶川地震遇难同胞谱写佛曲《送你入莲光》。
2009年佛诞法会，于慧日寺带领四众弟子诵读《大藏经》；8月为《欧洲新报》撰文《佛家眼中的经济危机》，并应邀在德国汉堡中国文化沙龙演讲，继而赴欧洲六国巡访。
2010年夏举办首届佛教慧日夏令营，指导大家学习《弟子规》、《道德经》、《大乘五蕴论》、《大乘百法明门论》、《如何依止善知识》等佛法经论,为年轻的一代启蒙中国传统儒释道文化。
法师将慧日寺的清净山泉净化加持成为慧日甘露，藉此将古老有效的佛教甘露水功德普利十方。
11月担任中国佛教协会“汉传佛教讲经交流会”主讲法师。随后率弟子往泰国牟尼寺朝圣，迎请佛足印。12月带领生命电视台国际朝圣团第五次朝礼印度八大圣地。
2011年圆满十万八千尊小型华严经宝塔。八次前往全国各地参访朝拜佛陀舍利和禅宗、净土宗祖庭，在各地举行多场佛法讲座、蒙山施食和放生法会。数年来各种形式的法会，常常伴随着各种瑞象，有目共睹的彩虹现象便是其中之一。六月份的北方弘法万里行曾出现连续12天彩虹相伴的奇景。十一月访问英国，在伦敦市举行佛法讲座和施食超度暨放生法会，并在牛津大学作了《生命之门》的演讲。十二月在缅甸、新加坡、马来西亚等地弘扬东方传统文化的精华，开显佛法的义理。
2012年七至九月前往内蒙古、陕西、甘肃、北京、江苏、浙江等地，举办放生暨蒙山超度。十月受生命电视台邀请赴台湾弘法。十一月举办了《梵呗妙音》大型佛曲歌舞音乐会。十二月带领四众弟子举办为期九天的祈愿法会，用佛法的力量平息世人的恐慌，安定社会，祈祷世界和平。
传喜法师直禀承恩师悟公上人的教诲，持戒念佛，自度度人。与
海涛法师共勉，哪里有苦难哪里就是道场。每年弘法行程数万公里，足迹遍及大江南北，世界各地。曾十五次启建大型法华盛会，并在国内外各地举办、教授无遮施食超荐法会。每次法会瑞相纷呈，与会大众由衷地感悟到“人在做天在看，人天本自相应，人天本自一体，善者天佑”的东方文明的核心理念，恢复了戒恶修善的自信；从而开启了禅悦人生、和平世界的宝藏。
出版了《观世音菩萨普门品讲记》、《钵水云影》等书籍；录制了《
传喜法师佛曲》CD片，组建慧日文化传播，梵音文化歌舞团；制作了《楞严经》、《妙法莲华经》、《盂兰盆经》、《普贤上师言教》等讲经光盘近千集。数年来在各种场合宣传戒烟、戒毒、戒酒。兴建佛教网站、八种语言的博客、微博，拍摄佛教电视片，开通慧日直播频道等网络电视，接引各方大众，培养各型的弘法人才。
然而法师说，自己是非主流中的非主流，是怀揣愚诚的边缘人，常会为一些细微的境况莫名感动；也像一个学艺不精的赤脚医生，近于唠叨的叙说，总是把大家当成了自己不识字的母亲；视自己的生命如小草一样的卑微，把生命不期的际遇当成五百世的佛缘……。天下没有不散的宴席，我执着地弘扬佛法，就是想所有的众生永远相聚于莲花国度。
MasterShakya Jingqing(Courtesy name Chuanxi) was born In 1967 in Shanghai,China. Hehas had great fascination with Buddhist stupas for no obvious reason sincechildhood. He lived either in the countryside or in the city while growing up.He has strong compassion towards people who have lost themselves in thematerial world, betrayed their human nature and are entrapped in modern syndromeof anxiousness. He then started to study Confucianism, Buddhism & Taoismwhich finally led him to the contemplation of ultimate meaning of life.
In 1990, he became a Buddhist and vegetarian aftertaking Three Refuges and undertook the adherence of the five commandments underGreat Master Mingyang. Later on he organized a chanting group to pray to Buddhawith other Buddhist devotees.
In 1992, in Shanghai Diamond Mandala he took the Four Refuges and theFive-Empowerment under Master Qingding with special permission. After that, hewent into mountains alone, looked for caves for seclusion. He encountered GreatMaster Wudao in Grand Buddha Temple in Xinchang, Zhejiang Province, SeniorMaster Jinghui & Jingliang in Guoqing Temple, Senior Master Chuanyin inFangguang Temple of Shiliang and Senior Master Yueguan in Tatou Temple.
In 1993, he made a pilgrimage to Mount Putuo. On 19th ofthe sixth month he took the Three Refuges under Master Wudao in Puji Temple andwas given a Buddhist name Jingqing. Great Master Wudao asked him to go toworship Buuhda’sSarira in Ashoka Temple in Ningbo and to visit Senior Master Guilun in theSeven-stupa Temple. In Tiantong Temple he encountered 95-year-old Senior MasterSongshan’snirvana and witnessed his supreme enlightenment as dying in a sitting posture.
In 1994, he saw himself collecting Buddha’s Sariras in the ruins in meditation and thus made up his mind to becomea monk. He took tonsure under Great Master Wudao in the Grand Buddha Temple inXinchang, Zhejiang Province. Right after the ceremony, he followed Guru Wudaoto make a pilgrimage to Mount Wutai. During the pilgrimage, he had wonderfulexperiences of witnessing the lamp of wisdom on the Pagoda for the Sarira ofBuddha at night in Tayuan Temple and seeing Bodhisattvas Manjushri &Samantabhadra appear in the main hall of the Buddhist Light Temple with
seed letters fused into his body & mind. He wasvery grateful to Buddhas for the blessings. Under the Grand White Pagoda he wasgiven a courtesy name Chuanxi by his Guru Master Wudao.
In 1995, he undertook the adherence of completecommandments under Great Master Mingyang in Longhua Temple in Shanghai.
In 1996, under Guru Wudao’s patronage, he prayed to Buddhain seclusion for three years and was greatly empowered by his guru. Theteaching of Buddha & the doctrine of Dharma were fused into his body &mind so that he came to understand truly the significance of what his guru andthe Buddhist founders were doing. They held Buddhist assemblies, set up altarsfor people to worship, shook the Khakkara to break up the hell and enlightenedthe confused beings for their birth to the Pure Land. They went through all thehardships calmly and turned the fire into red lotus. He came to know thatreturning of the Buddhist nature is a miraculous cure for all diseases &troubles. He realized profoundly rescuing the world by Buddhism is the firstimportant thing of a life.
In 1999 after three year’s seclusion he was appointedby Guru Wudao to take up the daily affairs in the Utmost Joy Temple in Daishan.
In 2001, he was appointed by Guru Wudao to be thesuperintendent of Yangqi Temple in Xiaoshan of Hangzhou and Chairman of theExposition Centre of Chinese Buddhist culture & Research Base of the World’s Religion.
In 2002, he began to give lectures on Shurangama Sutra.
In 2003, invited by personages of various circles inNingbo, he became the Abbot of Huiri Temple. He has worked there up tonow.
In 2004, accepting the advice from Master Haitao hebegan to spread Buddhism in Southeast Asia together with Master Haitao and togive lectures on Buddha-dharma on Life TV. They have also made pilgrimages toIndia, Nepal & Bhutan with their disciples successively.
In 2005, his Guru Master Wudao passed away. In memoryof him, he directed a monographic film < Looking Up with Reverence>. Healso gave lectures on . He was invitedto be the Honorable Director of Life TV Organization.
In early2006, he was invited to attend the World Buddhist Monk Congress in Malaysia andin April of the same year, he attended the first World Buddhist Forum in China.
In 2007,he was invited to host the Global Guanyin Buddhist Assembly in Malaysia anddirected the Buddhist monographic film < The Boat of Compassion> for theDharma assembly.
In 2008,together with Kenpos Muntso he produced the first Buddhist teaching film ofthree-dimensioned animated cartoon . In the same year he was invited to attend theAssembly for Offering 500,000 Buddhist Monks in Thailand on the Day of theGlobe as a representative of Chinese law-masters. He composed the Buddhist song for releasing souls of thedeceased fellow countrymen in the Wenchuan Earthquake.
In 2009,at the Assembly of Celebrating the Birthday of Buddha in Huiri Temple, underhis guidance, the four divisions of disciples chanted . In August, he wrote an article < Viewpoint of a Buddhist onEconomic Crisis > for a European newspaper and was invited to give a speechat a salon on Chinese culture in Hamburg, Germany. He visited six countries inEurope.
In 2010,he held the first Buddhist Summer Camp in Huiri Temple and gave guidance to thestudents on classical scriptures like < Standards for a Good Student >,, < Mahayana Treatise on the Five Skandhas>, & < How to follow a Goodand Wise Master> in order to enlighten the youngsters with Chinesetraditional culture of Confucianism, Taoism & Buddhism.
He turned the cool & pure spring water in HuiriTemple into Huiri Nectar and benefited all beings with the ancient andeffective Buddhist nectar. In November, he attended the BuddhistSutra-preaching Meeting as an expounder-master. Later he headed his disciplesto make a pilgrimage to Muni Temple in Thailand inviting foot-prints of theBuddha home. In December, he headed an international delegation of Life TV tomake the fifth pilgrimage to India.
In 2011, he completed to make 18,000 mini-stupas ofGarland Sutra. Within one year, he made eight trips to different places inChina to worship Buddha’sSariras, to make pilgrimages to temples of Buddhist founders of Chan or PureLand Sects, to preaching Buddhism teachings and to hold assemblies of MengshanFood-giving or releasing animal lives. For years, there are many auspicioussigns seen at different assemblies, one of them is the rainbow. During the tripto the northern China of 10,000 kilos in June, rainbows appeared 12 timesphenomenally. In November, he paid a visit to Britain, holding assemblies ofBuddhism-preaching, Mengshan Food-giving or releasing animal lives in Londonand giving a lecture < Safety Exit for a Life> in Oxford University. InDecember, he went to Burma, Singapore and Malaysia to propagate the essence oftraditional culture of the east and the teachings of the Buddha.
In 2012，hewent to Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Beijing, Jiangsu and Zhejiang in Julyand August to hold assemblies of Mengshan Food-giving or releasing animallives. In October, he was invited by Life TV to preach Buddha-dharma in Taiwan.In November he held a grand concert of Buddhist songs and dances. In Decemberhe headed four divisions of disciples to pray to Buddha for calmness of allbeings, a stable society and world peace at a nine-day Dharma assembly.
Master Chuanxi always follows Guru Wudao’s teachings by observing allcommandments and praying to Buddha to benefit all beings as well as himself.Encouraged by Master Haitao, he preaches more vigorously. Where there aresufferings where they go preaching. Every year he travels thousands of kilos topropagate Buddhism around China and the world. He has hosted 15 grand LotusSutra Puja and has devoted himself to holding and promoting the ‘Boundless Assembly’ at home and abroad, which aims torescue all beings from torment. At all the assemblies, auspicious signs areseen so that people present come to understand the key concept of the easterncivilization “Celestialbeings are watching what we are doing. Men & nature are associated andinterdependent. Good men are always blessed by the nature” and confirm the belief of givingup evils & doing goodnesses. They thus start a happy life of practicingBuddhism and discover the treasure for world peace.
He published several books like < Preaching on theUniversal Gate of Avalokiteshvara> and < My Understanding of BuddhistTeachings> and so on. He made a CD and set up a Huiri Singing & Dancing Group for spreading theBuddhist culture. He made about 1000 volumes of DVDs, for example, preachingson , , & for circulation. For years he has explained repeatedly topeople the harmfulness of smoking, drugs and alcohol on different occasions. Hehas set up a Buddhist website with blog and microblog of 8 languages, producedBuddhist films and put a live channel of web TV into use to teach the massesand train Buddhists for spreading Buddha-dharma.
However, the master said he is only a sideman ofoff-mainstream of the off-mainstream but with a most sincere heart who will bemoved by some trivial events without obvious reasons. He said he is like anunskillful bare-footed doctor expounding and exhorting to an illiterate andsick mother again and again. He regards his life as a humble grass and what hashappened to him as Buddhist connection of 500 years...... “No banquets willlast long but I will keep on preaching Buddha-dharma in order to get togetherwith all living beings in the Lotus Land.”
